Description: The ASTORIA GRANDE on her very first sailing under her new name. The video shows her in the Baltic Sea on the bird flight line between Puttgarden (Germany) and Rödby (Denmark). The AIDAcara was the very first ship in the AIDA Cruises fleet. She was originally built in 1996 in Turku (Finland) under the name AIDA and then renamed AIDAcara in December 2001, since two more ships were added to the AIDA fleet in 2002 with the AIDAvita and in 2003 with the AIDAaura. AIDA Cruises handed over the AIDAcara to a new owner in summer 2021. On August 10th 2021 AIDA Cruises handed over the cruise ship to the new owner in Tallinn (Estonia), where it had been lying for several months. The ship left Tallinn on September 1st 2021 and set off for the very first sailing under the new name ASTORIA GRANDE. Turkey was specified as the destination country.
